Message	No, Nissan didn't have some magical oil filter technology. But because of the success of the company in those days, they spared no expense in specifying a high quality oil filter. A lot has changed now that Renault owns a big portion of Nissan, and cost savings seems to be on Ghosn's mind. For that matter, it's on most CEO's minds. The Toyota guys are looking to alternative oil filters too, after Toyota discontinued the filter that 22RE guys have relied upon for years.
